Sutton Hall AI Booking Platform

Sutton Hall is a traditional community hall with huge potential: a stage, a central location in Mumbles, and a long history as a home for local groups, events and community activity.

The opportunity was to help move the hall from a manually managed venue into a more modern, technology-enabled space — one that is easier to discover, easier to book and easier to operate.

I created the concept for an AI Booking Platform designed specifically for community venues like Sutton Hall. The aim was not simply to replace a booking form, but to rethink the whole experience around how people find, enquire about and book a local hall.

For customers, the platform makes the process feel simple and immediate. Instead of waiting for email replies or working through unclear availability, customers can ask questions, check whether the hall suits their event, understand pricing and availability, and be guided towards making a booking.

For the venue team, the platform reduces admin and helps create a more professional front door. Common questions can be answered automatically, enquiries can be structured properly, and bookings can be handled with more consistency. This gives the people running the hall more time to focus on the venue itself, the community groups who use it, and the events that bring the space to life.

The wider vision is to position Sutton Hall as a modern community venue while still protecting what makes it special. Technology should not make the hall feel corporate or impersonal. It should make it easier for local people to use, easier for organisers to manage, and easier for the hall to grow sustainably.

This project brings together product thinking, service design and community transformation: taking a traditional offline process and turning it into a clearer, smarter and more scalable experience.
